The Champions Hockey League Group Stage is now complete, and the teams that will advance to the Round of 32 are now known.
For the Playoff Draw, which will take place on Monday at 12:00 CET, the 16 group winners are placed in Pot 1 and the 16 group runners-up are placed in Pot 2:
Pot 1 – Frolunda Gothenburg, Djurgarden Stockholm, HC Lugano, ZSC Lions Zurich, Karpat Oulu, Fribourg-Gotteron, EV Zug, TPS Turku, SaiPa Lappeenranta, HK Nitra, Linkoping HC, Vaxjo Lakers, SC Bern, Skelleftea AIK, Farjestad Karlstad, HV71 Jonkoping.
Pot 2 – Grizzlys Wolfsburg, HC Davos, Tappara Tampere, Lukko Rauma, Vitkovice Ostrava, Red Bull Munich, IFK Helsinki, Bili Tygri Liberec, Eisbaren Berlin, HC Pilsen, JYP Jyvaskyla, Yunost Minsk, HC Kosice, KalPa Kuopio, Sparta Prague, Red Bull Salzburg.
There will be one draw to establish the bracket for the CHL playoff stage. Teams who were in the same group cannot be drawn against each other in the Round of 32, but can face each other in subsequent rounds.
Each playoff round up to and including the Semi-Finals will be a two-game, home-and-away series. In the Round of 32, the team from Pot 2 will play at home in the first leg, and the team from Pot 1 will play at home in the return leg. In subsequent rounds, the team with the greater accumulated record will have home-ice advantage in the return legs.

Round of 32: 4 & 11 October 2016
Round of 16: 1 & 8 November 2016
Quarter-Finals: 6 & 13 December 2016
Semi-Finals: 10 & 17 January 2017
Final: 7 February 2017 (at home of the team with the best Group Stage + Playoff record of the two finalists)
Alternative dates may apply, or home dates between teams may be switched to accommodate arena availability.
