Three Swedish teams - Färjestad Karlstad, Frölunda Gothenburg and Skelleftea AIK - won on home ice while a fourth, the Växjö Lakers, lost in Prague. Also, the Stavanger Oilers won their second game in the CHL, beating Tappara Tampere in a shootout.
Stavanger Oilers 2–1 Tappara Tampere 1 (SO)
The Stavanger Oilers continue to surprise, earning their second win in three games in the increasingly hard-to-predict Group E. Antti Erkinjuntti opened the scoring midway through the first period for Tappara, Dan Kissel tied it for Stavanger late in the second, and other than that goalies Ruben Smith and Juha Metsola were perfect through 65 minutes of hockey. Jean-Michel Daoust scored the shootout-winner in the fourth round.
Färjestad Karlstad 4–3 ZSC Lions Zurich (OT)
ZSC Lions Zurich scored the first two goals of the game but Färjestad Karlstad battled back to take the lead. The game eventually went to overtime tied at 3 where Anton Grundel scored in overtime to give the extra point to Färjestad. Another Anton, Hedman, scored the team's first two goals and assisted on the third, while Ryan Shannon assisted on all 3 ZSC goals.
Frölunda Gothenburg 7–3 Genève-Servette
In their first CHL game on home ice, Frölunda Gothenburg scored the first five goals, then cruised to a 7-3 win over Genève-Servette, avenging the loss in Geneva on Game Day 1. Erik Gustafsson and Mathis Olimb both turned in 4-point performances, while Andreas Johnsson added 2 points to his tournament-leading total, now at 11.
Sparta Prague 5-4 Växjö Lakers
On home ice, Sparta Prague built up a 5-1 lead early in the third period, but the scrappy Växjö Lakers made things interesting with three goals in the last 16 minutes to make it a 5-4 final. Rookie Martin Réway's goal early in the final frame ended up as the game-winner, while Liam Reddox scored the last two goals of the game for Växjö.
Skellefteå AIK 4–1 SønderjyskE Vojens
The visiting club from Vojens, Denmark tied the score 1-1 early in the second period on a goal by Patrick Asselin, but John Norman scored the eventual game-winning goal just 1:09 later in a 4-1 Skelleftea win. Norman would later add another goal, while Par Lindholm tallied 3 assists.
